Since its establishment in 1998, the BayWa Foundation has been committed at home and throughout the world to educational projects in the fields of healthy nutrition and renewable energies. In the meantime, the BayWa Foundation has implemented more than 60 projects: Promoting knowledge, conveying healthy nutrition, making renewable energies tangible - discover the current projects of the BayWa Foundation here.

Planting Vegetables. Harvesting Health.
The nutrition education programme of the BayWa Foundation contributes to improving the nutritional situation of children: in class with the textbook and action book "The Nutrition Compass", in the school garden, in the kitchen and at home with the app "Essen+Wissen".
Healthy Food for Heroes
Healthy nutrition is particularly important in times of a pandemic: The BayWa Foundation therefore provides healthy food for people who need support during the Corona period.
Experience Agriculture at Obergrashof
On excursions to the Obergrashof, children and young people experience the value of healthy nutrition through agriculture. The BayWa Foundation has supported the farm since 2002.
Renewable Energies & Environment
The Forest School
Children need to relate more to the natural environment of the woods again! This is what the BayWa Foundation has set itself with the educational project "The Forest School". On excursions into the local forest, children learn about nature in a playful way. For active climate protection, every child plants its own tree!
Environmental Sponsorship at Luitpold Grammar School
We only have one earth: The BayWa Foundation therefore supports the pupils of the Luitpold-Grammar School in their environmental actions. For example, collecting rubbish in the English garden.
Biogas in Tanzania
In Tanzania, women and girls have to collect firewood for hours every day to light an open cooking area. Burns and respiratory diseases are often the result. The demand for renewable energy in the region is enormous. This is why the BayWa Foundation supports with micro biogas plants in Tanzania.
Educate for the Future
The Germany Scholarship
Every year, the BayWa Foundation awards 220 scholarships to students, thus enabling the young talents to get involved in society and build up a network.
Training Pact with Africa
Despite the available land, agriculture in many places is not able to feed the people of Africa sufficiently. The Training Pact with Africa therefore creates a scientific exchange with African agricultural academics.
Training for Young Women in Zambia
In the vocational training centre of the Zambian SOS Children's Village in Lusaka, 20 young single mothers receive a one-year vocational training course. Their children are professionally looked after during and after the training.
Promotion of the Tilmann Children's House
The BayWa Foundation is involved with educational and adventure projects at the Tillmann Children's and Youth House in order to strengthen the self-esteem and abilities of the children.
School Sponsorship at the Support Centre
230 pupils regularly receive experiential education supplements that are methodically structured to fit the curriculum. These include curative horseback riding, basketball lessons or a school garden.
